New faces, new vibes: Getting to know the Arkansas offensive coaches

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Inside the Fred W. Smith Football Center, the energy is palpable.

All of Arkansas’ coaches, a vast majority of them new to the program, are back from recruiting and starting to piece together their offices. Offseason training is in full swing, and players are filing in and out of the weight room daily. The number of coaches, players, secretaries and staff members coming in and out of coach Sam Pittman’s office is so great that he jokes he needs a revolving door installed.

It’s been two months since Pittman was hired, and at least a month since the rest of the staff was announced, but everything felt like it moved so quickly. In a matter of months, the Arkansas football program has completely changed, and now that there’s a brief break in the madness, it’s time to step back and assess the newness of it all.
